B i o g r a p h y

Music was my first love.  My home was filled with music as a child.  Both my parents were musicians, and I grew up watching my dad sing in the church choir, while my mom played the organ.  Mom taught piano lessons in our home, and I wanted to play what I heard her students play, so I spent hours trying to pick the songs out by ear. In high school, I discovered that I loved singing, and singing in the high school choir was an incredibly rewarding experience for me.  I met friends who wrote and recorded their own music, and we spent many fun-filled days recording music together.

In college at UCLA, I found that, of all my classes, my music classes were my favorite.  I majored in Vocal Performance and Music Education and graduated with honors.  Since then, I have been performing live and doing studio recording sessions in the Los Angeles area.

I love the recording process. There is something so satisfying about capturing beautiful musical moments and having them to listen to for all time.  I have come to feel right at home in a studio environment and am very familiar with the techniques and terminology used in the recording process.  I have my own home recording set up, enabling me to work remotely with other musicians, songwriters, and producers.

I also love the rush and aliveness of singing live.  Whether singing harmonies in a band or singing solo at someone’s wedding, there is nothing like the feeling of immediacy and connection with the audience that I get when I am performing live.

In addition to my formal musical training, I have a natural understanding of, and fluency in, music.  Music will forever be in the forefront of my life.
Nothing brings me more joy than music.
